Training for good eggs: Winter School at Puyallup
The winter school at Washington State College's Puyallup station trained many farmers on the finer points of raising hens and eggs, including how to build laying and brooding houses.

More than a century ago one man’s longing to live in the country led to a course in chicken farming offered through Washington State College, laying the groundwork for one of the largest and oldest egg operations in the Pacific Northwest.
