Global temperature had been projected to warm by about 2.7°F (1.5˚C) by 2050.*  Recent research suggests that the warming may actually reach 3.6°F (2˚C).**  As a result, there would be an increase of days per year above 95˚F (35˚C) for most Washington state counties.***
